Classes are Suspended March 15 & 17 - Faith Formation at Home

We were just notified by the Archdiocese that Cardinal Tobin has suspended classes throughout the Archdiocese of Newark from March 15-20. This includes the Communion retreat scheduled for this Sunday, March 15.

Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Newark has announced that he has dispensed the faithful of the Archdiocese from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice.
Additionally, he has suspended the public celebration of Mass for Saturday evening, March 14, and Sunday, March 15, 2020, after evaluating recommendations of state and health officials until further notice.

The celebration of daily Mass will continue. Churches of the Archdiocese will remain open and the faithful are encouraged to pray while maintaining a prudent distance from each other.

Scheduled sacramental celebrations such as weddings, baptisms, or funerals will be permitted, but attendance should be limited to immediate family members only.

In order for our students to continue to receive faith formation during this time, we have in place a plan for home instruction.  

1. Click the link to their Class Lesson Plan (listed on the right side of this webpage) to find out what Chapters or Lessons were covered on the day they were absent.
2.  Together with your child read the chapter and do all activities.
3. Go to the online chapter review. You can access these by clicking the link from their Class Lesson Plan.
4. Complete the online chapter review:

Grade 1 & 2 using the Sadlier Book, click the link and complete the review in Google Forms.

Grades 3, 4, 5 using the (RCL Be My Disciples), you can email the completed review to Anthony (armandoa@stmarysnutley.org)

Grade 7 (One Faith, One Lord book), click the link and complete the review in Google Forms.

Grades 6 & 8 that are currently using a video series, we are in the process of getting links to the videos, readings and questions. We will send them to you when available.
